It was about a 20 minute bus ride from the motel to the ship dock. When we first saw the ship we were going to sail on, we were just amazed at how huge it was! We quickly went through the screening process which was similar to screening at an airport. We waited quite awhile before we were able to check into the ship and were able to board. The ship had just docked this morning with a ship load of passengers ending their cruise and they had an outbreak of GI virus. The ship had to be scrubbed clean. We think that was a good thing because then everything was really clean when we got on. Just as we walked onto the ship they announced that the staterooms were now ready to be occupied. We quickly moved to the 7th floor anxious to check out our rooms.
